The Dreta i Fort Pienc Time Bank (a neighbourhood in Barcelona) is a network for exchanging knowledge, skills, and services for time, punctually and for free. The TBB connects people who offer services with those who request them. The only exchange currency is time. All services have the same value, since the price is the time it takes to complete them.
Through individual exchanges (in computer and English) and group exchanges (photography, therapeutic writing), the organization promotes social cohesion, mutual aid, exchange of skills and knowledge, social integration of people who experience isolation, support for people with fewer resources, intergenerational and intercultural exchanges, trust and cooperation, and personal, family, and work life balance.
