CUS, Health, Consumption and Food is a non-profit association of consumer people that was created in 1977 as a result of the defenselessness that user of the public health system were experiencing. In 1982, the areas of consumption, food and food safety were incorporated as transversal axes related to health. However, health and healthcare services continue to be the main focus of their activity.
The organization promotes training, information and dissemination of topics related to health, consumption and food, and also works in the socio-sanitary, social and environmental sectors, especially in relation to health.
