Institut de Salut Global de Barcelona
The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is the result of an alliance between the "la Caixa" Foundation and academic and governmental institutions to contribute to the international community's efforts to tackle the health challenges in a globalized world. It originates from both the hospital (Hospital Clínic and Parc de Salut MAR) and academic (University of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra University) spheres, accumulating over 30 years of experience in the field of global health. Its working model is based on generating scientific knowledge through research programs and groups, and its translation through the areas of training and global analysis and development.
The ultimate goal of the projects that make up ISGlobal's agenda is to correct inequalities in the health status of diverse populations around the world.
