Barcelona participates in the II Ibero-American Forum of Schedules and Time
After the success of the I Ibero-American Week of Schedules and Time, the Ibero-American Forum of Schedules and Time has already established itself as a space for debate, participation and exchange of experiences in Latin American society.
This is why, from June 6 to 30, will take place the II Ibero-American Forum of Schedules and Time; where experts, political representatives and Ibero-American civil society will participate.
In the first edition, the aim was to put a better time organization at the center of the political agenda, as well as to create links and synergies between the different territories that promoted time policies; this year, the aim of this second edition is to contribute to the concept of the right to time, adapting it to territorial needs and idiosyncrasies.
It is precisely within this framework of exchange of experiences that the Barcelona City Council will participate in the event on June 20: “The right to time, key to the resilience of cities”. In this conference, where it will be discussed how the organization of time can improve life in cities, Sonia Ruiz, director of Gender and Time Policy Services, will participate to explain the different time policies that the City Council is promoting through the Time Agreement.
Participating in this second edition, Barcelona City Council’s ties with Latin America are strengthened. It also helps on the shared commitment to, among other issues, continue raising awareness among citizens and political, economic, and social institutions about the importance and benefits of recognizing and guaranteeing the right to time as a right of citizenship.
