On November 26th at 9:30 am, the workshop "Challenges for a responsible work-life balance: How can we promote the co-responsible work-life balance of men from organizations?" took place in the Innoba space, organized for the NUST Network and the National University of Distance Education (UNED) and given by the researcher and professor Paco Abril from the University of Girona.
Abril is part of the European Men in Care project, which aims to reduce the barriers that male caregivers still face across the continent. The project was born in the 2019 framework and is made up of 12 national organizations that want to improve working conditions to make it easier for men to take on caring roles in various countries. The project aims to involve workers, trade unions, employers and families in identifying and sharing good practices to achieve a successful work-life balance for all.
The session was attended by managers, intermediate professionals, human resources professionals and those responsible for equality and co-responsibility policies in organizations, and its main objective was to reflect on the obstacles and opportunities for co-responsible reconciliation. The role of organizations in the promotion and involvement of men in caregiving was also discussed.
