For a more humane use of time to be able to take care of people
On November 15th, 2017, the NUST Network organized, within the framework of the 8th Week of Social Responsibility, the dialogue table entitled "For a more humane use of time to take care of people" where they participated Four speakers: Ester Vidal (Director of Services for the Cooperative, Social and Solidarity Economy and Consumption of the Barcelona City Council), Vicent Borràs (professor of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and doctor in Sociology), Oscar Bermejo (Business Development of Softmachine ) and Pilar Codina (responsible for Diversity and CSR of SGS Tecnos).
The table-dialog showed the contributions that, from each sector, are promoted to achieve a more humane use of time, and that you can read in the synthesis. In summary, from the City Council of Barcelona, they promote strategies to harmonize the different times of life and to give value to the care such as the Barcelona Time Pact and the Government Measure for the Democratization of Cure. At the university, research is carried out on the gender and social bias in the realization and responsibility of housekeeping tasks in the domestic sphere. And from the companies, measures of management and time planning, adapted to the needs of workers and companies, are sought and seek a balance between the uses of time spent on work, personal, family life and social.
The NUST Business Network will continue to provide reflection, knowledge and experience in the implementation of time management measures within organizations as the driving force behind a social transformation where care becomes a central axis and is understood as an element Essential for the sustainability of life.
