Presentation of the NUST Network at the Barcelona Time Use Week within the IATUR Conference
The Barcelona Time Use Week was held between October 25 and 29 at the Recinto Modernista de Sant Pau in Barcelona and counted with the participation of the NUST Network. Specifically, on Wednesday October 27th from 15h to 16:30h took place the round table "Fostering XNUST: the Barcelona Business Network for Time Use", where Raquel Gil (Commissioner for the Promotion of Employment and Policies against Precarious Employment), Òscar Bermejo (Softmachine), Xavier Bové (Penguin Random House) and Pilar Codina (SGS) presented the Network and talked about their experiences, practices and testimonies.
Time Use Week was the second edition of this event, the aim of which is to create thematic forums to exchange and discuss time policies with the main international actors around this issue. Within the framework of TUW 2021, the 43rd Annual Congress of IATUR (International Association for Time Use Research) took place, in which more than 200 professionals from all over the world participated.
In this edition, the IATUR Annual Congress was influenced by the impact of Covid-19, a fact that motivated to explore the connection between research, public policies, organizations and society. Other key topics such as time poverty were also addressed, visits were made to real use cases of time policy, such as the NUST Network, and exchanges were made between researchers and public institutions.
