The Time Pact of Barcelona in Strasbourg
The French association Tempo Territorial organized "Les Temporelles" on November 7th and 8th under the theme "A personal time, a right for everyone" to share experiences on time management in different countries in Europe. It is an organization that networks among institutions, organizations, and individuals working towards better work-life balance.
This year, under the theme "Personal time, a right for everyone!", various European experiences promoting the concept of time as a citizen's right were presented. The objective was to learn about the progress made in time policies in different countries such as France, Italy, and Spain. The event coincided with the tenth anniversary of Recommendation 295 of the Council of Europe and Resolution 313, which focused on local public policies related to the organization and compatibility of citizens' different time uses.
Within this context, Ms. Emília Pallàs, Executive Director of Proximity Economic Development at Barcelona Activa, shared the municipal initiative of the Time Pact of Barcelona, which seeks collaboration between the private and public sectors to promote actions in the field of time management. The goal is to reduce social inequalities, improve quality of life, and foster a diverse economy that serves the people.
During the meeting, experiences in time management from various administrations in Spain, France, and Italy were presented, which can be found in the Good Practices Guide of Specific Actions by members of the Tempo Territorial Network.
