The Route of Time: a family activity to rethink time in Barcelona's public spaces
During October, November, and January, public spaces in eight districts of Barcelona will become stages for play, reflection, and creativity with ‘The Route of Time’, a community initiative that invites families to explore and reflect together on how we use time in our daily lives.
The activity, which is free and open to everyone, is designed for families with children aged 5 and above—although younger children can also participate—and combines play, conversation, and collective creation in a friendly and welcoming environment, designed to encourage dialogue about the value of time.

A project that turns play into a tool for transformation:
The Route of Time is part of the Government Measure: Actions for the Digital Wellbeing of Children and Adolescents, as one of the initiatives aimed at reflecting on the use of time and screens from a family and educational perspective.
It is also part of the ‘Let’s Play in the Squares’ strategy, which is part of the ‘Play in Barcelona’s Public Spaces’ programme, which promotes the right to play and coexistence in the city’s public spaces.
‘The Time Route’ is an initiative promoted by the Directorate of Feminist and LGTBI Services, with the support of the Departments of Education and Health, which are promoting the government measure on digital wellbeing.
