>Next Tuesday, March 26, XNUST – Network of companies for a new working time – is organizing the Workshop: “The new way of working” To learn about the organizational model of the Open University of Catalonia.

Since the start of the pandemic, the UOC has had to adapt, like many other organisations, to a 100% online working model. This fact has accelerated the already existing project of focusing the University towards a more efficient and sustainable way of doing things, which also enhances people’s well-being.

“The new way of working” is a project that takes shape in order to become a quality digital university, to work better.

To achieve this change, new organizational dynamics associated with the project have been generated that are strategically framed in a reference decalogue that takes into account 10 dimensions and where people’s well-being is the first element.

These dimensions are:

  • The well-being of the people who work there.
  • Flexibility, promoting the application of telework to activities where attendance does not add value.
  • Interaction between people and teams.
  • Distributed responsibility to guarantee objectives and a good working climate
  • Sustainability within the university and its environment.
  • Professional performance.
  • The workstation must facilitate remote work in a comfortable and safe manner.
  • The organization, establishing common policies and good professional practices
  • Communication, as an instrument to share and generate collective knowledge.
  • The recruitment and retention of talent and promoting their adaptation to a complex and changing environment.

This is why next Tuesday, March 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. via the Zoom platform, we will hold a Workshop where Mònica Sosa, director of Organizational Culture and Talent at the UOC, will present the new organizational model.

In this way, we will be able to learn about the experience of the Open University of Catalonia, as well as open up a reflection on the new time policies in companies based on the conceptualization that the UOC itself has made of its model and the different dimensions.
