El Foment Hortenc
Foment Hortenc also promoted amateur photography through its photography section, created in 1953. They held the first photography competition that year in the heart of the entity, and so the Historic Photographic Archive of Horta was born, where the works of Emili Reguant were fundamental in preserving the historic visual memory of the area.
He carried out a dual task: that of creating a nursery of good photographers and, at the same time, an archive of photographs. This effort resulted in a testimony of 578 photographs taken by its members, of whom A. Brunat, Ramon Font, Francesc Magrans, Joaquim Matas, Jaume Mut, Ángel Pérez and Emili Reguant were of particular note, with their photographs being conserved in the Municipal Archive of the District of Horta-Guinardó.
