The amateur photographer does not come from nothing, but rather a context or environment that favours them. Organisations such as the Catalonia-Sants Hikers Union, the Hikers Club of Gràcia, the Foment Hortenc or other popular cultural associations made amateur photography practices possible through their photography sections, photograph competitions and exhibitions.
