Tibidabo Amusement Park
At times, the area for leisure and fun resides in a place that has been specifically designed for this, such as the Tibidabo Amusement Park, which opened in 1905. The fun is no longer improvised or public but rather private and designed for consumption. This does not detract from the importance that leisure has for the residents of Barcelona and their popular memory. A very important part of this memory is conserved in the Tibidabo Amusement Park Photograph Collection of the Municipal Archive of the District of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi. This collection holds 10,859 photographs about the history of Tibidabo mountain throughout the 20th century and was donated by the Municipal Archive in 2014, and of which a very significant part are of the Amusement Park.
