The Espai Bombers is a permanent exhibition space in the former fire station in Poble-sec, the only historical fire station to have been conserved in Barcelona. The centre offers visitors a chance to discover the history of the Barcelona Fire Service through important pieces from its collection, interactive features and audio-visuals, which also provide an insight into the functions and current mission of the city’s firefighters.
Barcelona is holding another edition of Museum Night on Saturday 15 May, with various spaces in the city and the metropolitan area opening up in the afternoon and evening for visitors to enjoy art, culture and science.
In the case of the Espai Bombers, the public will be able to visit the museum freely or with a guided tour at 6 pm, 7 pm or 8 pm.
The route for the guided tour explains the history of the corps and the building itself: the first purpose-built fire station, constructed for the International Expo of 1929.
Visitors should book a place by writing to espaibombers@bcn.cat or calling 932 565 434.
See you there!
