Given the improvement in weather conditions and the drop in the number of call-outs by the Barcelona Fire Service in connection with gales in the city, the alert stage of the basic municipal emergency plans for gales, activated on Thursday, 2 November, has now been deactivated. Between 5 pm on Thursday, 2 November, and 11 pm on Friday, 3 November, the Barcelona Fire Service intervened in 109 gale-related incidents, mainly in relation to fallen branches, trees, awnings and urban furniture.
Cleaning services have given priority to the collection of fallen branches and the cleaning of drain scuppers.
