Spectators will be able to watch the music and firework spectacular (Piromusical) from Av. Rius i Taulet, Av. Reina Maria Cristina and Plaça Espanya. Vehicles will not be allowed to park or circulate in any of the roads affected by the safety perimeter during the display.
The streets of Av. Reina Maria Cristina, Av. Rius i Taulet and Av. Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia (between C/ Guàrdia Urbana and C/ Mèxic) will be closed to traffic from 6 pm on 24 September (or before then if the build-up of spectators warrants it).
In terms of public transport, TMB will be laying on extra services on all metro lines, particularly the L1 and L3 lines (Espanya metro station). Service will also be guaranteed on all bus routes running through Pl. Espanya, from 6 pm to midnight: D20, H12, H16, 13, 46, 65, 79, 109, 150 and the red route operated by the Barcelona Bus Turístic. Users should remember that the metro will be operating until midnight.
Safety operation
The City Police and the Barcelona Fire Service, in conjunction with other safety and emergency services, have planned an operation to ensure optimum levels of coexistence, mobility and safety.
City Police patrols will be active, while the Barcelona Fire Service will guarantee protection during the display with three heavy water tanks, three fire engines and fifteen firefighters.
