The Barcelona Fire Service will be at the Mercat del Poblenou this Friday with Prevenim!, the educational vehicle used by the corps to promote prevention and self-protection advice for people to follow in the case of a household fire.
The visit on Friday, 10 February (10 am to 1 pm), is one of the measures to promote prevention which the city’s firefighting corps are carrying out periodically to engage with the public directly and enable people to learn about avoiding domestic fires and what to do if one breaks out.
The Prevenim! vehicle features the most common equipment used for firefighting and rescue, as well as screens for showing videos with advice on self-protection and the prevention of household fires.
After the Mercat de l’Abaceria, the Mercat del Poblenou is the second municipal market to be visited by the Barcelona Fire Service this year. The next stops for the Prevenim! vehicles will be the markets of Hostafrancs (17 February), Lesseps (24 February), Sarrià (10 March), Tres Torres (17 March) and La Mercè (24 March).
