Safety and prevention. The City Police and the Barcelona Fire Service will have a stand providing newcomers with information on the rules for coexistence which make Barcelona a more liveable city.

The City Police and the Barcelona Fire Service are taking part in the ninth edition of Barcelona International Community Day, a leading professional, social and cultural event for foreign residents in the city, to be held at the Maritime Museum on 22 October.

The City Police and the Barcelona Fire Service will be offering people advice on safety, mobility and risk prevention, and giving explanations on what to do in the event of a fire. The goal is for people to become familiar with the rules for coexistence which make Barcelona a more liveable and integrating place for citizens to enjoy.

Over sixty activities are planned for this year’s event, which is being held in five different rooms on 22 October, from 10 am to 7 pm. There’s also a special space in the garden at the museum and a fair with nearly twenty exhibitors.

Activities for Barcelona International Community Day focus on different spheres ranging from information and services for moving to Barcelona to tools for professional development, starting a company or investing. There are also information capsules, round tables, workshops and dynamic networking sessions, as well as spaces to make contacts and enjoy recreational activities and entertainment.

This special meeting for has been held in October for years and offers the city’s international community a chance to discover everything the city has to offer them, exchange experiences and discover key organisations in the city.
