Given the improvement in weather conditions and the reduction in callouts by the Barcelona Fire Service in connection with yesterday’s rain, the alert stage of the Basic Municipal Emergency Plan for Insufficient Drainage has now been deactivated.
The Barcelona Fire Service has provided service in 30 cases since this morning for incidents linked to the storm and handled a further 76 cases where callouts were no required.
The city’s drainage tanks worked at 50% capacity throughout the episode of rainfall.
