The Barcelona Fire Service will be at the Mercat del Bon Pastor this Friday with Prevenim!, the educational vehicle used by the service to disseminate advice on prevention and self-protection in the case of household fires. The route continues next Friday at the Mercat de Ciutat Meridiana.
The visits are one of the initiatives by the Barcelona Fire Service to promote prevention, the goal being to establish direct contact with the general public, who can learn how to avoid fires in the home and what to do if one breaks out.
The Barcelona Fire Service will soon be making the following visits:
- Mercat del Bon Pastor (district of Sant Andreu): Friday, 16 June, from 10 am to 1 pm.
- Mercat de Ciutat Meridiana (district of Nou Barris): Friday, 23 June, from 10 am to 1 pm.
The PREvenim vehicle features the most common tools for firefighting and rescue operations, as well as screens for showing videos with advice on the prevention of household fires and self-protection.
The city’s firefighters have already visited the following markets this year: Mercè, Abaceria, Poblenou, Hostafrancs, Lesseps, Horta, Sarrià and Les Tres Torres.
Remember that besides following this prevention advice, where there is a risk of fire this should be reported using the 112 phone number for emergencies.
