The ‘Festa dels Reis’ is an afternoon celebration is being organised on Wednesday, 3 January, where children will be able to give their letters and wish lists to Their Majesties. The party includes a performance from clowns, along with face-painting and a display of old firefighting vehicles.
The Three Kings are set to arrive at 6 pm, while the rest of the activities start once the doors open, between 4 pm and 4.45 pm. Hot chocolate and churros will also be served. The event is being organised by the Cultural and Sports Group from the Barcelona Fire Service (ACE) and Bombers Solidaris.
This activity is being held at the MUHBA Oliva Artés, in the Parc del Centre del Poblenou, taking advantage of the exhibition “Protecting Barcelona. Firefighters and fire prevention 1833-2022”, which explains how fire prevention measures have been applied in the city from when the Barcelona Fire Service was created through to the present day. The exhibition is on until 14 January. For more information go to the exhibition website.
The Festa dels Reis is just one of various opportunities for children to get their letters to the Three Kings. Elsewhere, the Royal Camp offers a single marquee in Nou Barris with the three royal pages, open until Thursday. On Friday, like every 5 January, Their Majesties will be arriving in the city and making their way around the streets on their floats. Check out all the activities linked to the Three Kings on the Christmas website, where you’ll also find the rest of the Christmas programme.
