Safety and prevention. The City Police and the Fire Service will have a stand to inform newly arrived people about the rules for coexistence that make Barcelona a more liveable city.

The two corps are taking part in this year’s edition of Barcelona International Community Day, a leading professional, social and cultural event bringing together the city’s foreign community. The meeting is being held at the Maritime Museum this Saturday, 28 October.

The City Police and the Barcelona Fire Service will be at the event to offer advice on public safety, mobility and risk prevention, along with an explanation of what to do in the event of a fire. In short, the two corps will be outlining the rules for coexistence that make Barcelona a more liveable and inclusive city for people to enjoy.

Over fifty activities and nearly a hundred speakers

The stand for the two corps is just one of nearly eighty exhibitors at the fair, in a special space in the gardens at the Maritime Museum on Saturday, 28 October, from 10 am to 7 pm. Companies and organisations will also be at the fair offering products, services and initiatives for international professionals.

Over fifty activities in different spheres are planned for this year’s Barcelona International Community Day, ranging from useful information and services for getting set up in Barcelona to tools for professional development, creating a company or investing. The fair includes information capsules, round tables, workshops and networking sessions, as well as opportunities to make contacts, recreational activities and entertainment, with nearly a hundred speakers taking part.

This large gathering for Barcelona’s international community has been organised every October for over a decade now, introducing everything the city has to offer, exchanging experiences and discovering the key stakeholders in the city. Last year’s event was attended by 5,400 people.

Admission is free with registration in advance. For more information go to the website for the event.
