The CaixaForum yesterday hosted a new edition of “Canvi de marxa”, an educational activity by the foundation Mutual de Conductors, with collaboration from municipal councils and local polices corps in Catalonia. The goal is to raise awareness among young people aged 14 to 18 about the causes and consequences of traffic accidents, and to promote responsible conduct and self-protection.
The activity represents a ten-minute telephone conversation between two sisters. One of them witnesses a road accident when she is in a car on her way to a disco and calls her sister to explain the situation.
During the account, video information is shown along with real accounts from the emergency services that are first on the scene to deal with accidents, as well as victims and relatives, who also explain their experiences.
The goal of the activity, produced with the collaboration of the City Police and a firefighter medic from the Barcelona Fire Service, is to educate new generations in accident prevention and the adoption of responsible conduct.
