Following a halt due to the pandemic, this iconic solidarity sporting occasion makes a return this year for what will be its sixth edition.
The Bogatell beach provides the scene for the 6th Barcelona Fire Service Solidarity Nautical Mile on Saturday 2 July, from 10 am. This non-competitive swim sees participants cover a distance of half a nautical mile, a full mile, two or three miles.
This is an entirely solidarity event, with all funds raised from registrations and donations going to the association Impulsa’t, which works to help children with merosin-deficient congenital muscular dystrophy. The event is organised by the Barcelona Fire Service Cultural and Sports Association.
