Given the increase in the height of waves in the last few hours and the weather forecast, as of Monday 22 February, the City Council has activated alert stage of the municipal emergency action plan for rough seas.
The rough sea warning is activated when there is a high probability of waves in excess of 2.5 metres and there is over a 30% risk that the sea may pose a risk to people or urban furniture may be damaged.
