The Mounted Unit of the City Police received a very special visit last week from Lucas, a 3-year-old boy from Barcelona who wants to join the corps one day.
The boy’s father used social media to thank some officers for their gesture towards the youngster in the street, when they offered him and his family the chance to visit the Mounted Unit together, an invitation they were delighted to accept.
An excited Lucas turned up for the visit well kitted out, wearing a police costume with the City Police shield sewn onto it. During the visit he was impressed by the explanations from officers, who told him about their daily routine with the unit and how they look after the horses.
