The City Council’s areas for Safety and Prevention and Social Rights, Global Justice, Feminism and LGBTI organised a technical working session on Friday, the goal being to boost the early detection of male violence towards women and avoid serious cases of violence by planning intervention strategies.
The City Police also took part in the working session, which highlighted the importance of tackling all aspects of gender violence and offering suitable services for women who suffer or have suffered violence.
Barcelona City Council is working to prevent and detect gender violence and improve support for women and children, strengthening coordination with the rest of services and thus combating the invisibility of this issue.
