Security. The campaign begins today and will run all week.

The week-long campaign starts on Monday, 20 March, and seeks to ensure compliance with the regulations on the circulation of these types of vehicles.

In an effort to reduce the number of road accidents and victims in the city, as well as the severity of injuries caused, intensive campaigns are conducted over a specific duration of time, several times a year.

On this occasion, the campaign from 20 to 26 March will focus on the correct use and circulation of personal mobility vehicles (PMV), as well as the obligations of drivers of other types of vehicles with regard to these.

The campaign is being conducted citywide, with special attention to rickshaws operating along the seafront without a licence.

As for the rest of infringements, special attention will go to incorrect parking and distractions while driving (traffic lights, pedestrian crossings etc.), particularly infringements which pose a physical risk to pedestrians.

The goal of the campaign is also to conduct administrative inspections of premises and establishments which offer PMV rentals.
