Disruptions to the L4 metro service will affect the section between Verdaguer and Bogatell from 26 June to 31 July, and the section between Verdaguer and Barceloneta from 1 to 28 August. The T4 tram line will also be out of service from 26 June to 31 August. As an alternative, passengers are recommended to use the rest of the metro network and regular bus lines. A shuttle bus will also be laid on.
The work on the L4 metro line includes a complete overhaul of 6 kilometres of track to improve reliability, reduce incidents and vibrations along this section.
As an alternative, metro services near the affected area will be bolstered (L1, L2 and L3), as well as regular bus lines (6, V19 and V21). Passengers will be able to use the Rodalies local train service or the shuttle bus (operating during metro hours), running every 3 or 4 minutes on working days.
On the tram network, the work to connect the tracks of the T4 service with the new section under construction between Glòries and Diagonal means this whole tram section will be out of service, with La Farinera acting as the final stop for the T5 and T6 services.
As an alternative, passengers can use the metro service, regular bus lines (7, H14, H16 and V21) and the shuttle bus, offering nine stops along the route and operating during the same hours as the tram.
