Safety and prevention. Safety and prevention measures will be in place to avoid anti-social behaviour.

With the first official match to be played at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium this Sunday at 7.30 pm, the City Police will be regulating traffic again in the area around the ground.

A series of safety and prevention measures will be applied on the day of the match to ensure access to spectators in optimal conditions and avoid anti-social behaviour:

  • Parking: regulation of reserved spaces for accredited vehicles for people with reduced mobility, coaches transferring people to matches and checks on unsuitable vehicles. Restrictions start from 8 am, with the municipal tow-truck in operation from five hours before the start of the match.
  • Isolation of general traffic around the stadium and limits on unauthorised private vehicles. Access to the ground by car will be limited to three hours before kick-off.
  • Establishment of a safety zone around the stadium and evacuation routes for emergencies, plus safe routes.

In addition, the City Police will be carrying out surveillance to prevent sexual violence, gender-based violence and LGBTI-phobia.

Getting there

Owing to the restrictions, spectators are recommended to get to Montjuïc on foot, on public transport or by bike. On top of the usual mobility options there will also be a free shuttle bus service to the stadium, starting two hours before kick-off and ending an hour and a half after the game finishes. For more information on getting to the ground, go to the mobility operation website.
