Safety and prevention. One of the matters discussed was Autenticiudad, a network of European cities to prevent falsification.

Held at La Pedrera on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 December, the forum also addressed this topic from a policing and security perspective in a round table involving Jordi Moreno, a sergeant with the City Police. Moreno also attended the official reception offered by the Mayor, Jaume Collboni, to the organisers and attendees at the meeting. This is the first time ever that the forum has been held in the Spanish state.

The sergeant took part in the round table “The central actors in the protection of IP rights”. The other bodies represented in the session were Europol, the Mossos d’Esquadra police corps, the Civil Guard and the National Police.

Another round table, organised by ANDEMA with the support of the Spanish Patents and Brands Office, centred on Auteniciudad, a network of European cities to prevent falsification, with representatives from the councils of Lisbon, Madrid and Zaragoza.

Other matters discussed included challenges resulting from artificial intelligence, commercial piracy and coordinated action between administrations on a European level in this sphere. For more information go to the organiser’s website (in Spanish).
