Work gets under way on the new City Police station in Sarrià – Sant Gervasi

The project entails a public investment of 19.9 million euros, with work expected to take around 25 months.

The police station has been housed in the Can Ponsic building in Av. J. V. Foix since 1988, with 1,239 square metres of floor spaces on two floors. The facility will now move to number 103-109 in the same avenue.

Specifically, the new police station will have 4,828 square metres of built floor space, with 3,887 square metres of useable space over six floors, two of these in the basement. The building will house different services and operational areas, plus a reception area for members of the public on the ground floor.

With the new police station, the corps will gain greater proximity and efficiency with the goal of offering better service for the public.
