Disruptions to mobility for the Women’s Fun Run

Safety and prevention. On Sunday 17, at 9 am.

The Cursa de la Dona (Women’s Fun Run) is being held on Sunday, 17 November, from 9 am. The start line is in Av. Reina Maria Cristina and the finish line is in Av. Rius i Taulet. The entire route will be clear from 8.30 am.

The route is as follows:

Av. Reina Maria Cristina – Pl. Espanya (road surface nearest the sea on the Besòs side) – Av. Paral·lel (descending side) – Floridablanca – Calàbria – Gran Via CC (central road section, from Calàbria to Rbla. Catalunya) – Gran Via CC (road surface nearest the sea, from Rbla. Catalunya to Pg. Gràcia) – Gran Via CC (central road surface, from Pg. Gràcia to Pl. Tetuan) – Pl. Tetuan (road surface nearest the sea on the Llobregat side) – Pg. Sant Joan (descending side) – Rda. Sant Pere – Pl. Urquinaona (central section) – Rda. Sant Pere – Pl. Catalunya (road surface nearest the mountains) – Rda. Universitat – Pl. Universitat (surface nearest the sea, on the side nearest the mountains) – Ronda Sant Antoni (side nearest the mountains) – Sepúlveda – Viladomat – Av. Paral·lel (ascending side) – Tamarit (in the opposite direction) – Lleida – Av. Rius i Taulet.

The streets making up the route will be closed to traffic during the event, with circulation reestablished once runners pass through each section.

As from 5 am on Sunday, road closures will be in place in Av. Reina Maria Cristina and Av. Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia, from C/ Mèxic to Av. Reina Maria Cristina.

In addition, at 3 pm on Saturday 16, traffic will be unable to circulate in Av. Rius i Taulet, from Av. Reina Maria Cristina to C/ Guàrdia Urbana.

The dismantling process at the start and finish area is expected to be completed around 3 pm.

Private vehicles

Parking is prohibited, including motorcycles on pavements, from 6 am on Saturday 16, to 3 pm on Sunday 17, in:

  • Av. Rius i Taulet (both sides), from Av. Reina Maria Cristina to C/ Guàrdia Urbana.
  • Av. Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia (side nearest the sea), from C/ Mèxic to Av. Reina Maria Cristina.
  • Rda. Sant Pere (side nearest the sea), from C/ Girona to C/ Bruc.

Parking will also be prohibited in Av. Reina Maria Cristina (both sides) from 9 pm on Saturday to 3 pm on Sunday.

In addition, vehicles parked in the following streets may not be moved between 8 am and 1 pm on Sunday:

  • Av. Paral·lel (side nearest the sea), from Llançà to Lleida.
  • Vilamarí – Floridablanca – Av. Paral·lel (whole block).
  • Floridablanca (side nearest the mountains), from Av. Paral·lel to Calàbria.
  • Floridablanca – Calàbria (corner nearest the mountains on the Llobregat side).
  • Calàbria (side nearest the Besòs), from Floridablanca to Gran Via CC.
  • Rda. Sant Pere (side nearest the sea), from Pg. Sant Joan to Girona.
  • Rda. Sant Pere (side nearest the sea), from Bruc to Pl. Urquinaona.
  • Rda. Sant Pere (side nearest the sea), from Pau Claris to Pg. Gràcia.
  • Rda. Universitat (side nearest the sea), from Balmes to Pelai.
  • Pl. Universitat (side nearest the sea, side nearest the mountains), loading/unloading and motorcycle parking area.
  • Sepúlveda (side nearest the sea r), from Muntaner to Casanova.
  • Sepúlveda (both sides), from Casanova to Viladomat.
  • Sepúlveda – Viladomat (corner nearest the sea on the Besòs side).
  • Viladomat (both sides), from Sepúlveda to Manso.
  • Viladomat (side nearest the Besòs), from Manso to Av. Paral·lel.
  • Av. Paral·lel (side nearest the mountains), from Viladomat to Sepúlveda.
  • Tamarit (both sides), from Lleida to Av. Paral·lel.

Public transport

The routes of the following bus services will be diverted or limited from 7 am to 3 pm on Sunday: D20D50H12H14H16V9V11V13V15V17V19X2671319212224394647545559636779120121141150 and Barcelona Bus Turístic (red and blue routes).

People are recommended to reach the start line on the metro, getting off at the Espanya stop, and also to use the metro to get to other parts of the route.
