Safety and Prevention. Violations such as parking incorrectly and driving in reserved lanes will be addressed.

To coincide with the start of the school year, the police are launching a campaign this week to help public transport run more efficiently and smoothly, with a particular focus on road transport: buses and taxis.

To achieve this goal, the police will focus on identifying and addressing violations such as:

  • Improper parking and illegal stopping in bus lanes, reserved lanes and public transport stops.
  • Unauthorised vehicles using in bus/taxi lanes.

This initiative is part of the Urban Mobility Plan (UMP), which was designed to encourage people to use sustainable and alternative modes of transport, such as public transport, instead of private cars. The aim is to improve road safety and make the mobility system more efficient as a whole.
