City Police campaign to help mobility by public transport

18/09/2023 - 11:18 h

Safety and prevention. The campaign will run from today until Sunday.

The goal of the campaign is to help public transport flow and run smoothly at street level, particularly buses and taxis.

To this end, the campaign will address infringements relating to:

  • Incorrect parking and non-reglementary stops in bus lanes, reserved lanes or at public transport stops.
  • Circulation of unauthorised vehicles in reserved traffic lanes (bus/taxi).

The Urban Mobility Plan (PMU) sets out a series of measures to give more priority to pedestrians and cyclists, foster the use of collective public transport and reduce the use of private vehicles, the goal being to improve the quality of the city, road safety and the efficiency of the mobility system as a whole.

One of the main goals is therefore to increase the volume of journeys made by sustainable means, notably by public transport.

The citywide campaign will run until Sunday, between 6 am and 10 pm.
