Safety and prevention. The campaign reminds people of the current regulations on the sale and consumption of alcohol.

The goal is to remind people of the ban on drinking alcohol in the streets and the sale of alcohol to under-18s.

The awareness campaign began with the midsummer celebrations for the eve of Sant Joan, reminding people that current regulations prohibit the sale or supply of alcohol to minors.

In terms of alcohol consumption in general, the process was completed this week to distribute posters in Catalan, Spanish and English at different strategic points in the city, informing people that drinking is not allowed in public streets and squares, and of the need to avoid noise, litter and inconvenience to local residents.

Current regulations (explained on the posters) prohibit the sale of alcohol between 10 pm and 8 am (including online) except for authorised establishments, and also from street vendors in public spaces.

Finally, the posters also explain the application of fines in cases of non-compliance with these regulations, set out in the by-law on social conduct.

The information material will be visible in night-life areas in the city, at neighbourhood festivals, at beach bars throughout the summer and in squares, gardens and other public spaces.
