Priority will be given to checks in parts of the city where noise generates the most inconvenience, particularly noise in public streets and squares, with routes to detect activity that causes it.
Checks will be conducted and fines imposed for different types of situations which disrupt local people’s rest: noise from home that causes inconvenience, singing or shouting in the street, noise from pets, disorder in public space or establishments, musical performances which do not keep to authorised hours, non-compliance with sound-proofing in nightlife venues etc.
One of the main goals of the City Police is to improve the quality of life of people living in Barcelona and those visiting the city. To achieve this, it’s important to cut noise pollution.
The citywide campaign will be in place around the clock until Sunday.
