Firefighters Fun Run 2022: times, route and disruptions

The Vueling Cursa de Bombers de Barcelona, or firefighters run, is back on Sunday 23 October. The event will see nearly 300 firefighters and over 12,000 members of the public run a 10-kilometre route, with the event expected to last 90 minutes. During that time there will be mobility restrictions all around the route.

The event gets under way with a symbolic start at 8.50 am for the team of firefighters, before the rest of the runners set off in starting groups at 9 am.

The run starts and finishes in the same place: Avinguda del Marquès de l’Argentera. The 10 km route takes in some of the city’s most iconic spots, such as Estació de França, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, Ronda de Sant Pere, Via Laietana and Avinguda del Paral·lel.

Disruptions to traffic

Traffic will be restricted around the whole route during the run. The event is expected to end at 10.48 am, although the restrictions will remain in Avinguda del Marquès de l’Argentera, Passeig de Circumval·lació, Passeig de Picasso and Passeig de Pujades from Passeig de Lluís Companys as far as Passeig de Picasso.
