This year’s edition of Pride! BCN is on 14 and 15 July, with the City Police participating through a joint stand with the Mossos d’Esquadra corps at the two-day fair for organisations and associations in Plaça de la Universitat.
The idea is to offer anyone with an interest information about the recruitment process for the corps, as well as advice on prevention and how to react to discriminatory behaviour towards the LGBTI+ collective.
The stand will be open from 11 am to 9 pm.
The slogan for this year’s event is “The pride of our lives. Celebrating getting older with us is growing”, giving prominence to elderly LGBTI+ people. For more information on the programme, go the Pride! BCN 2023 website.
Disruptions to mobility
While the event is on and during the process to dismantle temporary structures (Sunday until 8 pm), the celebrations will occupy Plaça Universitat (central section), the pavement along the side of Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes and the side lane of the Gran Via nearest the sea, between C/ Arribau and Rda. Universitat. The road will be closed to traffic and the taxi rank and Bicing station here also closed.

The LGBTIQ+ Pride parade is on Saturday, 15 July, at 6 pm, starting from the Parc de les Tres Xemeneies. The march will go along Av. Paral·lel, which will be closed to traffic from 3 pm to 9 pm.

Parking
Parking will not be allowed (including motorcycles on pavements) on both sides of Av. Reina Maria Cristina until 6 pm on 16 July. Parking will also be prohibited in the following places until 10 pm on Sunday:
- Av. Rius i Taulet (between Av. Reina Maria Cristina and C/ Guàrdia Urbana)
- Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes (side nearest the sea), between Aribau and Estudiantil
- Plaça Universitat (side nearest the mountain, road surface nearest the sea) between Aribau and Estudiantil
Because of the parade, parking will also be prohibited from 4 pm on Saturday until 8 pm on Sunday in Av. Paral·lel (ascending side of the road), between Pl. Drassanes and Portal Santa Madrona.
