The forum will be dealing with the challenges and opportunities brought about by the huge rise in the use of personal mobility vehicles, from legislative and regulatory perspectives, and how they can be adapted to urban spaces and peaceful coexistence with all the other players in public streets and squares.
The 27th Barcelona Road Safety Forum takes place on Monday, 13 December, and this year it will be dealing with “Personal mobility vehicles, challenges and opportunities”.
Being efficient, comfortable, fast, easy-to-carry and environmentally friendly means of transport, personal mobility vehicles (PMVs) are gaining more and more users in cities, leaving us no choice but to reflect on their use.
Hence the focus of this year’s Road Safety Forum on the challenges and opportunities that arise from their increasing presence on public streets and squares, featuring talks given by experts from several enterprises involved in mobility as well as three discussion panels:
- “The city and new mobilities “.
- “Safety and coexistence between PMVs and all other means of transport. Specific features and risks, shared responsibility “.
- “Opportunities for using PMVs; training, features and regulations “.
The forum will be held at 10 am at the Barcelona CaixaForum and can be followed live from the Guàrdia Urbana [city police] website.
