The goal will be to avoid situations which may represent a risk to participants during the swimming event.
Barcelona’s coastline is the scene for tomorrow’s Triathlon European Cup. The event is being organised by Barcelona City Council, with collaboration from the European Triathlon Union (ETU) and the Catalan Triathlon Federation.
The running and cycling routes will use a circular format along the Poblenou coastline, in front of the five beaches from the Nova Icària to the Llevant, while the swimming event will be held at the Nova Mar Bella beach.
A boat with a crew of two people from the Beach Unit operated by the City Police will be on hand in front of the Nova Mar Bella beach between 8 am and 10 am to prevent any situations which may represent a risk for participants during the swimming stage.
The boat will have the task of making sure competitors can complete the full lap of the Nova Mar Bella beach established by the organisers.
