The Sant Martí Territorial Unit replaces 16 vehicles following the end of their rental contract, with the Gràcia unit doing the same with a further 14.
The new scooters will start being used in both districts as from tomorrow, Wednesday, 13 December.
Ten electric vans were acquired in January, as part of a process to renew the fleet headed by the Accident Prevention and Investigation Unit, with the addition of the mopeds also planned.
The replacements correspond to the goal of moving towards more sustainable mobility through the use of hybrid and electric vehicles, thus reducing carbon dioxide emissions, noise and energy consumption.
