Uses of Time

Publication of studies and dissemination of informative material to generate a framework for debate and public awareness of the importance of people's use of time in their daily lives. 

Under this action are included the research studies that have been elaborated in collaboration or commissioned to other institutions (to distinguish the Time Dossiers elaborated by the City Council itself).

During these years several studies have been published based on the observation that knowing the reality is the first step to be able to have an impact on the awareness and transformation of society.

The studies published so far deal with topics as different as actions on working time to the European Union, time and city and on care time, among others. Specifically: 

• Time study: data collection systems, new proposals and policy orientation. 
• Economy of care and municipal policy: towards a democratization of care in the city of Barcelona. 
• Time management in organizations. 
• Diagnosis of Neighborhood Time, shared educational times. Times and activities outside school hours.  
• Innovative experiences of companies in Barcelona.
