  2. / 1st Edition of The Program 2018 To 2019

1st edition of the program 2018 to 2019

In this first edition of the mentoring program in time organization, 6 mentor companies participated (Aigües de Barcelona, Softmachine, Criteria, KIM, SGS Tecnos and TBS) and 6 mentoring companies (Can Cet, Oxfam Intermon, Amics de la Gent Gran , Pare Manel Foundation, AREP and Insercoop), both chosen through a selection process. While the mentoring companies are expert organizations of the NUST Network, the call for mentoring companies is open to organizations in the city of Barcelona.

In the first joint meeting, in October 2018, mentoring groups were established, formed by 2 mentor companies and 2 mentoring companies. The SoftKIM group has had Softmachine and KIM as mentors and Oxfam Intermon and Insercoop as mentors. The ATAC group has counted on Aguas de Barcelona and TBS as mentotes and Can Cet and Amics de la Gent Gran as mentors. The Aprèn group has had Criteria and SGS Tecnos as mentors and Pare Manel Foundation and AREP as mentors.

From November 2018 to May 2019 have taken place the 6 monthly sessions of mentoring, in which each group of mentor companies has advised 2 mentoring companies, first one along 1h and then the other along 1h , dedicating a total of 2h per month. The advances of the companies have been varied, depending on the initial needs expressed and the context of each organization.

  •     Can Cet has drawn up a Plan of measures for the entire workforce, not only in conciliation measures but identifying itself as an egalitarian company, which is committed to conciliation and time and which is concerned with the welfare and health of working people.
  •     Oxfam Intermon contrasted the approach of the equality plan, taking into account that part of the identified challenges were in terms of reconciliation, assessing the risks and opportunities of these processes.
  •    Amics de la Gent Gran has signed the internal labor relations document where a detailed regulation of the conditions for teleworking in the entity is established, and has carried out a survey on time organization and conciliation, from which to propose actions.
  •     The Pare Manel Foundation has launched a process of reflection on the global management of the uses of time, incorporating the members of the group of Affects as promoters and involving the staff to detect improvements.
  •     AREP has developed a triptych on reconciliation of personal and professional life aimed at working people, putting value on measures beyond the agreement.
  •     Insercoop has managed to have internal regulations more suited to the needs of people and the entity itself, with measures such as the intensive day during the summer months, the universalization of the bag of hours and the improvement of collective agreement clauses.

The results of the mentoring have been presented in a last joint meeting in June 2019, making a very positive assessment by both the mentoring companies as mentors and detecting aspects of improvement observed in this pilot test, as explained in the report of results of the evaluation of the 1st edition of the program.
