The submission period is now open for candidacies for the 17th Women and Sport Award, given annually since 2006 and recognising leading women and organisations in five categories in women’s sport. The period for putting forward candidacies will be open until 24 April.
Candidacies for any of the categories in the Women and Sport Award can be put forward individually or via other legal or natural persons.
The call is aimed at sportspeople, clubs, organisations and associations that stand out for their individual or collective excellence in promoting and disseminating women’s sport, giving visibility to women in sport and equal opportunities.
The five categories, carrying a monetary prize of 3,000 euros, are:
- Mireia Tapiador Award for Sports Promotion: recognising the dissemination and promotion of women’s sport. Put forward a candidate
- Sportswoman Award: recognising sporting achievement, social impact and contribution to the world of sport. Put forward a candidate
- Media Award: recognising the dissemination and promotion of events, activities and successes linked to women and sport. Put forward a candidate
- Sports Club Award: recognising work to promote women’s sport, sporting achievements and the implementation of equality plans. Put forward a candidate
- Woman Sports Director Award: recognising the professional work of directors and managers. Put forward a candidate
