The newly promoted sub-officers and sergeants in the Barcelona Fire Service received their stripes in a ceremony held yesterday in the Saló de Cent at Barcelona City Hall.
The ceremony recognised 24 sergeants and 9 sub-officers, who were appointed after passing various theoretical and practical, physical, personality and medical skills tests.
This internal promotion process brings the number of sergeants in the corps to 42 and the number of sub-officials to 22.
