The centre for training, dissemination and exhibitions is extending its usual activity over the weekend of 7 and 8 October to join in with the initiative promoting cultural and free time options in the park.
The centre will be offering the following open days and activities:
- Saturday, 7: the centre is offering two guided tours of one hour at 11.30 am and 4.30 pm, instead of the usual one, to discover the history of the corps and the building, constructed for the Universal Expo in 1929. Visitors should book in advance for the tours, as well as for admission on the open day.
- Sunday, 8: the centre is offering its usual dynamic family activity, enabling visitors to discover the exhibition space through a gymkhana, where users must find pieces of information to complete their firefighter’s notebook. The difference on this occasion is that the activity is free. There’s also an open day from 11 am to 3 pm. Visitors should book in advance for the tours, as well as for admission on the open day.
Reservations can be made by calling 932 565 434.
Over sixty activities in thirty spaces
The activities at the Espai Bombers are just some of the sixty plus activities being organised as part of “Viu Montjuïc” this weekend. The programme includes guided nature routes, dance shows, theatre, concerts, exhibitions and open days at thirty spaces. This third edition of the initiative includes a more diverse range of culture and free time options, such as the inauguration of the Montjuïc 360º footpath, the first route certified by the Federació d’Entitats Excursionistes entirely within Barcelona.
The festival is now an established activity in the district of Sants-Montjuïc. It highlights the natural and cultural wealth of this city space, where parks combine with museums, libraries, community centres and theatres, offering something for everybody all through the year.
