Accessibility improvements at Passeig de Gràcia station on L4
23/09/2025 - 21:14 h
The metro entrance on the corner with Gran Via will be closed for six weeks to facilitate the installation of a lift and renovation of the lobby.
Starting on 29 September and for six weeks, the entrance to the L4 metro line at Passeig de Gràcia station will remain closed due to accessibility improvement works. The work includes the installation of a lift, renovation of the control barriers and renovation of the lobby to ensure a more accessible, safe and comfortable space for all users.
During this period, it is recommended to use as the main alternative the entrance to the L2 metro line located in the Jardins de la Reina Victòria, between Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia, only 100 metres from the point affected by the works. You can also use the entrance on Pau Claris, the same distance away, at the junction with Gran Via.
For L3, the closest options are at the junctions between Passeig de Gràcia and Consell de Cent (280 metres away), Aragó (300 metres away) and between Aragó and Pau Claris (500 metres away).
This closure is part of a wider project that aims to improve the accessibility of internal connections between the L2, L3, L4 and Rodalies lines, so that people with reduced mobility can make transfers without going out into the street. The works include the installation of four new lifts and the comprehensive renovation of the L4 lobby. They are scheduled to be completed before the end of the year.
