A new 400-metre section comes into service, giving continuity to the new exclusive bus lane in the B-23 motorway, from Av. Albert Bastardas to Av. Doctor Marañon. The new lane links with the existing bus lane as from C/ Adolf Florensa.

The new bus lane extends the B23-Diagonal corridor as far as Pl. Reina Maria Cristina. After the new bus lane in the B-23 came into service on Saturday, 2 August, where the road enters Barcelona via Av. Diagonal, the 400-metre extension of this same lane in Av. Diagonal was prepared between the avenues of Albert Bastardas and Doctor Marañon.

From the B-23 to Albert Bastardas, in other words the final part of the section inaugurated at the start of August, the bus lane is located on the left. Between Albert Bastardas and Gregorio Marañon the new lane is located on the right, conveniently freeing up space for buses and other vehicles to change lanes. After Gregorio Marañon there is a 50-metre section with no bus lane, to enable traffic to move towards the side lane in Av. Diagonal. As from Adolf Florensa, the bus lane reappears to the right of the central section of Av. Diagonal, a lane in operation since 2012, as far as Pl. Reina Maria Cristina.

Still relating to inbound traffic, the central section of Av. Diagonal again has a bus lane between C/ Numància and Pl. Francesc Macià, plus the bus lane located in the side lane. For outbound traffic, between Francesc Macià and Av. Sarrià there is a double bus lane to facilitate the operation of interurban buses with terminals here, plus the circulation of all other public transport, and from Av. Sarrià, the bus lane is maintained practically until it exits the city.
