The Barcelona City Council, through the Directorate of Commerce, Restaurant and Food Services, is launching the sixth edition of the Barcelona Restauració Awards with the aim of recognising the neighbourhood restaurants in the city of Barcelona that have stood out for their work in 2024 and have not received any other significant recognition. 

There are five award categories:

• Gastronomic quality (product)
• Integration in the neighbourhood (social)
• Award for Sustainability (process)
• Award for Front of House Service
• Award for Restaurants in Barcelona Markets

Likewise, this edition of the Barcelona Restauració Awards aims to highlight the good practices demonstrated in the past that have contributed to the development of a distinctive, fair and high-quality model that is sustainable over time. For this reason, at the discretion of the panel, a special honorary mention may be awarded to restaurants and/or individuals linked to the restaurant sector for their exceptional contribution to enhancing the value of the city’s restaurant sector over time.

Any natural or legal person who is the owner of one or more restaurants located in the city of Barcelona may apply to take part in these awards.

Individuals interested in participating must submit their application form, attached as an annexe to this call.

The necessary information and the application form for this call can be found on the Barcelona City Council’s commerce website. 

If the applicant is a legal person, the application must be submitted electronically, via the email address indicated on the website and the form. 

If the applicant is a natural person, the application may be submitted at any of the Citizen Help and Information Offices (OAC) in Barcelona. 

The deadline for submission proposals will run from the day after publication in the BOPB until 22 September of this year (inclusive).
